Gives support to individuals with a disability and their whānau so that they are able to live and work as independently as possible in their communities. Te Taihāhā also offers advice and advocacy for those unfamiliar with the disabilities sector.

Te Taihāhā is whānau centered, and sensitive to the needs and aspirations of whānau living with disabilities. Te Taihāhā has access to and relevant information and advocacy support essential in planning requirements to meet the support needs of the individual.
